Multiple errors reported on an NSM shelf in EMS logs

Issue

  • During NSM shelf FW upgrade the following errors are reported in EMS
Node1       ERROR         ses.status.battery.error: NS224NSM100 (S/NSHFGXXXXXXXXXXXX) shelf 0 on channel 0x battery failure error for Coin Battery 2: not installed or hardware failure. This element is on the rear of the shelf, in bottom module (B).
Node1       ERROR         ses.status.ACPWarn: NS224NSM100 (S/N SHFGXXXXXXXXXXXX) shelf 0 on channel 0x ACP Processor warning for shelf ACP processor 2: communication error. ; Alternate Control Path hardware failed This element is on the rear of the shelf at the bottom, on module B.
Node1       ERROR         ses.status.electronicsWarn: NS224NSM100 (S/N SHFGXXXXXXXXXXXX) shelf 0 on channel 0x environmental monitoring warning for SES electronics 2: communication error. ; enclosure services hardware failed This element is on the rear of the shelf at the bottom, on module B.
Node1       ALERT         ses.status.temperatureWarning: NS224NSM100 (S/NSHFGXXXXXXXXXXXX) shelf 0 on channel 0x temperature warning for Temperature sensor 12: not installed or failed. Current temperature: 22 C (71 F). This element is on the unknown location.
Node2       ERROR         ses.status.dimm.error: NS224NSM100 (S/N SHFGXXXXXXXXXXXX) shelf 0 on channel 0x DIMM failure for Dimm Element 8: not installed or failed. This element is on the DIMM slot 4 in the bottom shelf module B).
Node1       ERROR         scsi.cmd.checkCondition: Disk device e5b.00.1.21L0: Check Condition: CDB 0x28:7da54397:0001: Sense Data SCSI:aborted command -  (0xb - 0x90 0x50xfb)(1).
Node1       ERROR         scsi.cmd.selectionTimeout: Unknown device e5b.00.1.2L9998: Adapter/target error: HA status 0x
