How to reinstall a system with Advanced Drive Partition version 2 (ADPv2)

Description

This  KB article describes the guidance how to partition SSD drives when you have the half-populated shelf. 

In some situation when you have the system either with internal or external SSD shelf which is half-populated (24 bays shelf with only 12 drives installed), you might not be able to finish the procedure explained in the KB How to configure Advanced Drive Partitioning using ONTAP Boot Menu Option 9
The reason for this is the conflict with the half-shelf policy where the ONTAP expects 24 disks assigned half-half to the HA pair. You can recognize this if console logs, after selecting menu option 9b  to view the following:

BOOTMGR: The system has 0 disks assigned whereas it needs 6 to boot, will try to assign the required number.
