Issue

  • EMS log reports the following error and cannot boot up.

Example:

[?] Tue Jun 09 13:00:50 JST [filer: spsm_listener: callhome.sp.hbt.missed:notice]: Call home for SP HBT MISSED

[?] Tue Jun 09 13:05:10 JST [filer: env_mgr: sp.ipmi.lost.shutdown:EMERGENCY]: SP heartbeat stopped and cannot be recovered. To prevent hardware damage and data loss, the system will shut down in 2 minutes.
[?] Tue Jun 09 13:05:10 JST [filer: spsm_listener: callhome.sp.hbt.stopped:alert]: Call home for SP HBT STOPPED

[?] Tue Jun 09 13:06:56 JST [filer: sp_cluster_user_mgmt_wq_wq: sp.userlist.update.failed:error]: Error updating SP user information, Communication error (action 7).
[?] Tue Jun 09 13:07:03 JST [filer: statd: monitor.shutdown.emergency:EMERGENCY]: Emergency shutdown: Environmental Reason Shutdown (SP IPMI Dead)

  • Cannot access system console and BMC/SP after the system shutdown.
