EMS log 'splogd is running in degraded mode and having difficulty getting splogs from the SP FW' - MotherBoard communication issue

Issue

  • EMS.log error: 
    splog.warnings: Could not retrieve logs from the SP for 24 hours: splogd is running in degraded mode and having difficulty getting splogs from the SP FW
  • BMC/SP are on the latest FW version 
  • Reboot of the BMC/SP  cluster::> system service-processor reboot-sp -node <nodename> does not resolve the issue
  • in addition EMS.log might also error on: 
    • spmgmt.driver.timeout: Unable to update SP network information at this time -or-
    • sysconfig -a output for BMC or SP marked as unknown:
