EMS log reports "sp.userlist.update.failed" error on SP 5.x

Issue

  • EMS log reports the following error.

Example:

[?] Thu Dec 12 14:00:00 JST [node: sp_cluster_user_mgmt_wq_wq: sp.userlist.update.failed:error]: Error updating SP user information, Communication error (action 7). 

[?] Fri Sep 17 18:20:40 JST [node: cf_worker: spmgmt.driver.timeout:error]: The software driver for the Service Processor (SP) detected a problem: Cannot send takeover configuration..
[?] Fri Sep 17 18:20:40 JST [node: cf_worker: cf.hwassist.notifyCfgFailed:alert]: Failed to update the hardware-assist configuration with hardware component (SP): SP communication error(7).

 

  • SP configuration info becomes "unknown" on "sysconfig -a" output.

Example:

Firmware Version:   5.5P1
    

Ethernet Link:      down, full duplex, auto-neg complete
