Issue

  • EMS log reports Unrecoverable ECC error on a network interface:
EMERGENCY netif.uncorEccError: Unrecoverable ECC error on network interface e0c.
 
  • sysconfig -a shows the network interface is an unused port:
 slot 0: 1/10 Gigabit Ethernet Controller IX4-T
         e0c MAC Address:    00:a0:98:f4:3f:4c (auto-unknown-fd-down)
         e0d MAC Address:    00:a0:98:f4:3f:4d (auto-unknown-fd-down)
 
  • ifstat -a doesn’t show any error counts:
