Issue

  • System generates the following AutoSupport alert
Call home for BATTERY (wrong charge) WARNING.
  • The following messages can be seen in the EMS log
[Node-01: env_mgr: nvmem.battery.wrongCharge:alert]: The NVMEM battery charger is charging the battery even though the battery is not requesting to be charged. To prevent data loss, the system will shut down in 24 hours.
[Node-01: env_mgr: callhome.battery.warning:alert]: Call home for BATTERY (wrong charge) WARNING.
[Node-01: env_mgr: nvmem.battery.normalCharge:notice]: The NVMEM battery charging status is normal.
[Node-01: env_mgr: monitor.shutdown.cancel:notice]: Automatic shutdown sequence canceled.
  • BMC FW upgraded to 13.5  
    • NVMEM battery messages no longer appear
  • Following message is still logged:
Sun Aug 22 08:46:18 +0200 [Node-01: env_mgr: monitor.shutdown.cancel:notice]: Automatic shutdown sequence canceled.
Sun Aug 22 09:46:19 +0200 [Node-01: env_mgr: monitor.shutdown.cancel:notice]: Automatic shutdown sequence canceled.
Sun Aug 22 10:46:19 +0200 [Node-01: env_mgr: monitor.shutdown.cancel:notice]: Automatic shutdown sequence canceled
