Issue

  • ONTAP reports takeover not possible:

  • Disk is failed with Failed-Unsupported status from node A.

::>node run -node <node A> sysconfig -v

10.20: NETAPP   X376_HLBRE08TA07 NA01   0.0GB 0B/sect (Failed-Unsupported)

  • Node B shows the effected disk as Failed

::>node run -node <node B> sysconfig -v

10.20: NETAPP   X376_HLBRE08TA07 NA01 7486.1GB 520B/sect (<serial of disk>) (Failed)

  • The effected disk is moved to maintenance/testing by the owner node and the HA partner is reporting missing partner disks.
  • Only the partner node might report the disk as "Not available" in sysconfig -a
