Issue

After reseating or replacing an IOM module, you might observe the following anomalies:

  • sysconfig -a displays shelf serial number instead of the shelf ID in front the disks:

        SHM09797XXXXX.0: NETAPP X411_HVIPC420A15 NA02 418.0GB 520B/sect (CWYXXX)

  • sasadmin expander_map might display an invalid/alternate shelf ID :

        Level 10: WWN 50050cc104fd6d3f, ID 150, Serial Number ' SHM09797XXXXX', Product 'DS424IOM3 ', Rev '0172', Slot B

  • You might receive a duplicate shelf ID error in the messages log:

[sas.shelf.conflict:error]: At least two SAS disk shelves have the same disk shelf ID.
