Why E-Series synchronous mirroring takes a long time to complete initial sync process?

- E-Series SANtricity OS
- Synchronous Remote Volume Mirroring Feature
Answer
To avoid impacting data access response time in critical environments and applications, by default, every synchronous mirror pair is created with a synchronization priority set to medium level. However, this will cause initial sync to be very long as it is directly mapped to "delay time" during the background initial data transfer when creating a new pair.
