This article gives an overview on general troubleshooting steps for multipathing issues on VMware hosts

Multipathing issues may report one or more of the following errors:

  • Volume not on preferred path due to AVT/RDAC failover
  • Host multipath driver configuration error detected
  • Incorrect Host Multipath Driver
  • Loss of host-side connection redundancy detected
  • ALB_INCOMPATIBLE_HOST_DRIVER-Recovery Failure Type Code: 474
