How to restart the web services on SANtricity System Manager

Applies to

  • E-Series
  • SANtricity OS Controller Software
  • SANtricity System Manager
  • Webserver

Answer

Using CURL from a Linux host, run the follow API call:

curl -k -X POST -u rw:password  https://<Controller_Management_Address>/devmgr/v2/restart

Note that each controller is running a web services instance. In case of a dual controller configuration, if the intent is to restart all the web services on the storage array, API call should be sent to each out of the controllers.

Additional Information

Keep in mind that after restarting the web services, SANtricity System Manager web interface will take approx. 5-10 minutes to become available again.
