Description

NetApp provides Non-Returnable Disk Plus Service as an available option for NetApp hardware.  NetApp also provides statement of volatility for each hardware type which may contain residual data from a non-volatile memory component.  The EF300 and EF600 statement of volatility shows the SATA FLASH Module as potentially containing customer data and with the note "to erase contents, destroy drives in the usually prescribed manner".   However, this module is not shown in Hardware Universe as a Field Replacement Unit (FRU) therefore no documentation exists for this platform demonstrating the removal of the SATA FLASH Module after the impaired Processor Controller Module (PCM) has been removed from the chassis.
