Can E-series restore the Host File System data directly on the storage side?

Answer

  • E-series cannot restore the Host File System level files directly on the storage side due to the Host OS managing the File System of the SAN volume.
  • However, if there are snapshots with the need-restore files on the E-series volume, can use the snapshot technical function to restore them referring to the Rollback Operations on Page 15 and Manage Rollbacks on Page 58.
Note: Always back up the data of the E-series volume via the snapshot, Synchronous and Asynchronous mirroring, or other 3rd Party backup solution.
