Applies to

  • NetApp E-Series E2800/E5700 and associated EF-series platofrms with 25 Gb/10 Gb iSCSI Host Interface Card (HIC).
    • Onboard iSCSI ports are not included.
  • 25 Gb/10 Gb iSCSI Switch
  • 25 Gb/10 Gb iSCSI Converged Network Adapter (CNA) or 25 Gb/10 Gb iSCSI Network Interface Card (CNA)

Issue

  • Hardware components that support 25 Gb/10 Gb iSCSI may not support auto-negotiated speed or auto-negotiated Forward Error Correction (FEC). This includes the NetApp E-Series E2800/E5700 10/25 Gb host interface card.
    • This article does not apply to the onboard iSCSI ports because the speed cannot be manually set on those ports.
  • Other components may include Converged Network Adapter (CNA), Network Interface Card (NIC), or iSCSI switch.
