  •   SnapManager for Virtual Infrastructure
  •   Virtual Storage Console (VSC) 4.x, 5.x, 6.x.

Issue

When running Virtual Storage Console Backup and Recovery, the job will fail when attempting to rename an existing VSC snapshot. The backup will not complete. Typically, this will occur when you have one or more backup jobs, which are set to retain only an 'X' number of snapshots before a delete or rename.

The following output is reported in the SMVI logs located in /smvi/server/log/server.log
