Description

Procedure to reset the VASA Provider and SRA database

WARNING

  • Only perform these steps if advised by NetApp support
  • The procedure will wipe all the data from the derby database, which can be imported again by adding the storages
  • The impact this may cause is that VVOL datastores will appear as inaccessible in vCenter, the actual existing connections will still be up but new connections cannot be made.
  • Note down the details of all storage systems before doing the reset (IP, username, password)
  • Always have a Virtual Machine snapshot of the Unified Appliance before performing this action
