Description

Administrators can leverage VSC’s Mount feature to restore files. This article describes the procedure that should be followed to manually mount a VMDK disk and use Storage vMotion to restore individual files.
This procedure has the advantage of allowing a virtual machine to be powered on quickly after the disk(s) are restored and remain powered on during the svMotion.
