Issue

When running certain SRA and/or VASA Provider operations, a number of issues may be observed, including the following:

  • SRM/SRA failures while pinging storage arrays
  • SRM/SRA storage.commandTimeouts
  • SRM/SRA failures during discover devices
  • SRM/SRA 'SyncOnce' failures
  • SRM/SRA failures during failovers and reprotects
  • VASA Provider VVOL provisioning failures
  • Failures while running cluster rediscover from the Web CLI
  • Attempting to access the appliance's Web CLI

You can confirm the presence of this issue by analyzing the VASA/SRA log bundle's vvolvp.log file for the below entries:

07/06/20 EDT 11:02:01 (ERROR) [servlet-183722] java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: unable to create native thread: possibly out of memory or process/resource limits reached
