PING from PC to NetApp interfaces replies with (DUP!) entry

Issue

  • When run PING command from client, its throwing "DUP!" in reply:
PING 1x.xx.10.xx (1x.xx.10.xx) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 1x.xx.10.xx: icmp_seq=1 ttl=255 time=0.110 ms
64 bytes from 1x.xx.10.xx: icmp_seq=1 ttl=255 time=0.140 ms (DUP!) ------->
64 bytes from 1x.xx.10.xx: icmp_seq=2 ttl=255 time=0.135 ms
64 bytes from 1x.xx.10.xx: icmp_seq=2 ttl=255 time=0.160 ms (DUP!) ------->
64 bytes from 1x.xx.10.xx: icmp_seq=3 ttl=255 time=0.255 ms
64 bytes from 1x.xx.10.xx: icmp_seq=3 ttl=255 time=0.286 ms (DUP!) ------->
  • No duplicate ip error reported in NetApp ems logs.
    • EMS does NOT show netinet.ethr.duplct.ipAdrr
