Traps in the NetApp custom MIB are provided in a number of categories, including the following:

| Disks | failure alert, shutdown, repaired TRAP ids 21, 22 and 26 |
| Fan | failed, shutdown, warning, repaired TRAP ids 31, 33, 35 and 36 |
| Power supply | Power Supply failed, shutdown, warning, repaired TRAP ids 41, 43, 45 and 46 |
| CPU | CPU busy, OK TRAP ids 55, 56 |
| Non-Volatile RAM (NVRAM) | Battery discharged, low TRAP ids 62 and 63 |
| Cluster | Node failed, repaired TRAP ids 72, 75 and 76 |
| Volumes | Nearly full, full, repaired TRAP ids 82, 85 and 86 |
| Temperature | Over temperature, shutdown, repaired TRAP ids 91, 95 and 96 |
| Shelf | Fault repaired TRAP ids 103 and 106 |
