How to guarantee machine account access to a CIFS share

Description

An attempt to access a CIFS share from a machine account fails with errors similar to the following:

Tue Jul 16 12:20:20 CDT [user-1:auth.trace.authenticateUser.loginAccepted:info]: AUTH: Login by NULL user from 10.113.54.109 accepted.

Tue Jul 16 12:20:20 CDT [user-1:sectrace.filter.denied:info]: [sectrace index: 1] Access denied because 'Read Attributes' permission (0x80) is not granted on file or directory (Access denied by the share-level ACL) - Status: 1:47433383936:32:67 - 10.113.54.109 - NT user name: - UNIX user name: (-1) - Qtree security style is NTFS and NT ACL is set on file/directory - Path: /vol/vol4/
