Answer

As per default settings, the type of users that can access data using CIFS are:

  • The users that are a part of the same domain as the CIFS SVM.
  • The users that are a part of a trusted domain. The list of trusted domains can found using the command:

cluster::> vserver cifs domain trusts show

  • Users that are a part of CIFS local-users or local-groups. The list of such users can be found using the command:  

cluster::> vserver cifs users-and-groups local-user show
cluster::> vserver cifs users-and-groups local-group show
