Unable to write to a Symlink CIFS volume due to "not enough space" error.

Issue

  • Even though the volume has enough space to accommodate the file being copied/written, below error occurs:

"There is not enough space on <volume>. You need an additional <number> MB to copy these files"

  • Folder on which file is being copied is a Symlink and pointing to a different target volume.
