Troubleshooting Workflow: AutoSupport messages are not received by NetApp (HTTP/SMTP) or partner (SMTP)

  • ONTAP 9 – 9.6
  • Clustered Data ONTAP 8 and above
  • Data ONTAP  7- Mode

Issue

AutoSupport messages that are supposed to be delivered by either SMTP, HTTP, or HTTPS are not received. Check the AutoSupport history for the AutoSupport messages in question by running the following command sequence:

::> system autosupport history show

7-Mode:

> autosupport history show

The following will be the status values:

  • queued
  • re-queued
  • transmitting
  • transmission-failed
  • sent-successful (SMTP)
