Takeover is not possible: Local node missing partner disks

Issue

The system reports that it cannot see all the disks in the cluster from one node in the cluster. Takeover is not possible on the node that cannot see all the partner disks. The following is also observed:

  • A disk fails on node A and is replaced
  • Node B reports that takeover is not possible because the local node is missing partner disks
  • Check the STORAGE-FAILOVER.XML section on Node B (the node that did not own the failed disk). It will list the UID of the old disk in the 'Missing Disks on Partner Node' field.
     

EMS logs will confirm the BUG:

    Fri Jun 26 00:23:15 GMT [node-name: api_dpool_01: cf.disk.inventory.mismatch:critical]: Status of the disk 11b.42.6 (5000C500:7676C813:00000000:00000000:00000000:00000000:00000000:00000000:00000000:00000000) has recently changed or the node (node-name) is missing the disk.
