Solaris client gets hang and timeout when mounting with NFSv4

Issue

  • The Solaris clients attempt to mount two NFS exports by the same data LIF via NFSv4
  • The mount for the first NFS export works without any issue
  • The Solaris client gets a timeout when mounting the second NFS export and takes several minutes to complete the mount 
  • Packet trace shows the client pauses for several minutes without sending any RPC requests during the mounting process
