Issue

In ONTAP 9.2 and later, following issues are observed when using single-mode ifgrp.

  • Link-down on a member port of a single-mode Ifgrp, or the cable gets disconnected from an active port. 
  • Standby port is switched over to the active state immediately, and client access is continued. 
  • After the link-down issue is fixed, the primary port goes back to active state.
  • Ifgrp port becomes unresponsive, Clients access lost to storage.
