Secd.dns.srv.lookup.failed errors seen in EMS logs after upgrade to ONTAP 9.9.1P5

Issue

  • Every four hours, the following errors can be seen in the EMS logs: 
[Node-01: secd: secd.dns.srv.lookup.failed:error]: DNS server failed to look up service (_kerberos._tcp.<IncorrectSiteName>._sites.<TrustedDomain>) for vserver (SVM1) with error (No server(s) found).
  • The <IncorrectSiteName> mentioned in the error comes from the home domain, not the trusted domain.
  • This also occurs when rediscovering servers manually with the command vserver cifs domain discovered-servers reset-servers in the CLI.
