Applies to

  • ONTAP 9.7
  • ONTAP 9.8
  • LDAPS for AD-LDAP
  • CIFS

Issue

  • General and occasional CIFS/SMB authentification failure after enabling "Use LDAPS for AD LDAP connection"
  • ONTAP Security Daemon (SECD) panics and restarts
    • ucore.panicString: 'secd: Received SIGSEGV (Signal 11) at RIP 0x80022d2d8 accessing address 0x812025cd8 (pid 13182, uid 0,
timestamp 1245830374)' This event occurs when a userspace application crashes, and we manage to obtain a panic string indicating
      the cause of the crash.
