Issue

  • Using LDAP, Windows users are mapped intermittently to pcuser instead of the appropriate UNIX user:
Cluster::*> secd name-mapping show -node node1 -vserver vserver1 -direction win-unix Test\l133567
ATTENTION: Mapping of Data ONTAP "admin" users to UNIX user "root" is enabled, but the following information does not reflect this mapping.
'Test\l133567' maps to 'pcuser'

Cluster: *> secd name-mapping show -node node1 -vserver vserver1 -direction win-unix Test\l133567
ATTENTION: Mapping of Data ONTAP "admin" users to UNIX user "root" is enabled, but the following information does not reflect this mapping.
'Test\l133567' maps to 'l133567'

  • EMS logs:

Fri Mar 05 01:49:08 +0500 [node1: secd: secd.ldap.query.timed.out:error]: Vserver 'vserver1': LDAP server 10.x.x.x did not respond to query within timeout (3 seconds) interval.
