Issue

  • The timeout issue is due to repeated access denied errors in the logs:
Mon Dec 06 23:17:26 +0000 [Cluster01: kernel: nblade.css.s3.AccessDenied:error]: Access is denied for user 'pii_encrypt/psJTqYCgGPm1WgYEq+7sKJhUeNXju1AjXOSJpwWfO/c=/pii_encrypt' (Vserver 106), from client IP 169.254.21.53 accessing resource '/ObjectStore/dc0470d1-a117-4c7d-b06c-6e6e38832c16/43e57a06_000000000000075c_dc0470d1-a117-4c7d-b06c-6e6e38832c16'.
 
  • The following error is seen in the event logs:
Wed Dec 08 20:28:13 +0000 [Cluster01: OscLowPriThreadPool: object.store.unavailable:EMERGENCY]: Unable to connect to the object store "local_ontap_s3_51" from node 2a218254-3583-11eb-ab4b-d039ea26638d. Reason: Operation Timedout.
