Issue

nfs client mount on ONTAP 9.7 nfs server intermittently fails, reporting the message Connection reset by peer:

systemd[1]: mynfs-myexport.automount: Got automount request for /mynfs/myexport, triggered by 12345 (ls)
systemd[1]: Mounting /my-nfs/my-export...
mount[12348]: mount.nfs: Connection reset by peer
systemd[1]: mynfs-myexport.mount: Mount process exited, code=exited status=32
systemd[1]: mynfs-myexport.mount: Failed with result 'exit-code'.
systemd[1]: Failed to mount /mynfs/myexport.
