NFS client hung when mounting volume/qtree using NFSv3

Issue

  • When mounting volume/qtree on client using NFSv3, mount goes hung

[root@node1 tmp]# mount 10.200.x.x:/volume1 /mount1 -vvv
mount.nfs: timeout set for Wed Jun 22 06:22:23 2022
mount.nfs: trying text-based options 'vers=3,addr=10.200.x.x'
mount.nfs: prog 100003, trying vers=3, prot=6
mount.nfs: trying 10.200.x.x prog 100003 vers 3 prot TCP port 2049
mount.nfs: prog 100005, trying vers=3, prot=17
mount.nfs: trying 10.200.x.x prog 100005 vers 3 prot UDP port 635 

  • No errors seen on the filer 
  • In the packet trace client is seen mounting the export successfully, but never moving to the next step which would be FSINFO
