NFS TCP mounts fail with"portmap query retrying: RPC: Timed out" using Flexgroups in ONTAP

Issue

  • NFS v3 and v4 mounts that use TCP fails/hangs:

  • "rpcinfo -p" fails with error that portmapper is timing out :
 
[root@rhel_admin /]# rpcinfo -p 10.xx.yy.10
rpcinfo: can't contact portmapper: RPC: Timed out
 
  • NFS v3 mounts that use UDP are not affected
  • When LIF is migrated to other nodes the TCP mounts work fine.
