Description

Performance archives contain detailed performance data that can be used by NetApp Technical Support to analyze cluster performance. Performance Archives' capability is available in Data ONTAP 8.3 or later.

In order to send the Performance Archives to NetApp Support, it is required that AutoSupport transport is set to HTTPS and that traffic is allowed from/to support.netapp.com from the storage controllers. If this is not possible OneCollect (Starting from OneCollect 1.7) provides a method for uploading those files to NetApp Support.

Note: OneCollect should be installed on a system that can connect to support.netapp.com over HTTPS.

In the scenario in which the system OneCollect is installed, one cannot reach support.netapp.com over HTTPS, but it can connect to the storage systems. The collection of the Performance Archive can still be done, but the upload process to NetApp Support should be done manually as explained later in this document.
