How to move the data from capacity tier to performance tier in FabricPool

Description

When data is tiered out to capacity/cloud tier in a FabricPool configuration, at times it becomes necessary to move the data from capacity tier back to performance tier.

  • Until ONTAP 9.8, the data in the capacity tier will be moved to performance tier in the following order based on the tiering policy used:

  • ONTAP 9.8 bring along a knob "cloud-retrieval-policy" under advanced privilege that overrides the default cloud migration behavior based on the value configured:
