Description

  • This KB is about how to configure and enable remote shell (rsh) access on a storage system.
  • Error message appears when a wrong entry is used in the hosts.equiv file while setting up rsh access.
  • Error message: Permission denied Configure and enable remote shell (rsh) access on the storage system
  • This is because the client's username was not set in the /etc/hosts.equiv file, or the /etc/hosts.equiv file is case-sensitive.
