Description

  • This KB describes how to use the  ifconfig -v from nodeshell to troubleshoot issues with LACP in ONTAP 9.2+
  • Run command system node run -node <node> -command ifconfig -v twice, waiting 2 minutes to run the command a second time
    • This allows for viewing of the increments in counters
  • Network stack changes made in ONTAP 9.2 alter the way LACP is troubleshot from prior versions of Data ONTAP.
    • For one, /mroot/etc/log/lacp_log is no longer populated with new data; however, the file may exist from when it was used prior to ONTAP 9.2.
    • There is no ifgrp status in nodeshell, instead of the command ifconfig -v is leveraged from nodeshell.
