Deleting an event destination in ONTAP results in the error "Event destination is being used for routing message"

Issue

  • The following error is reported when attempting to delete an event destination:

Error: command failed: Event destination is being used for routing message

  • Below is an example of the steps taken to reproduce:

cluster01::> event route show -destinations <destination>
There are no entries matching your query.

cluster01::> event destination delete -name <destination>
Error: command failed: Event destination <destination> is being used for routing message <Message Name>

cluster01::> event route remove-destinations -message-name <Message Name> -destinations <destination>
Error: "<Message Name>" is an invalid value for field "-message-name <Message Name>"
