Issue

  • Aggregate object-store config create fails - Wrong port or server is not reachable when FabricPool on a remote cluster as ONTAP S3
    • S3 service is enabled on data SVM on cluster 01
    • S3 bucket is created on cluster 01
    • Unable to access/connect to the S3 Bucket from cluster 02:

cluster02::> storage aggregate object-store config create -object-store-name ONTAPS3store -provider-type ONTAP_S3 -server S3server.domain.com -container-name ontaps3bucket -access-key OntapS3UserAccessKey -secret-password OntapS3UserSecretKey

Error: command failed: Cannot verify availability of the object store from node cluster01-01. Reason: Wrong port or server is not reachable.

  • Packet trace shows cluster 02 sending a Certificate of length 0 to cluster 01:
