Issue

  •  fcp.io.status:debug:STIO Adapter:0x,found hung cmd state=5  errors observed in EMS logs from the same host SID:

[NetApp01: fct_tpd_thread_0: fcp.io.status:debug]: STIO Adapter:0d, found hung cmd:0xffffff01dd049f90(state=5, flags=0x0, ctio_sent=1/1,RecvExAddr=0x11e4e0, OX_ID=0x44xx, RX_ID=0xffff,SID=0x7xxxy, Cmd[2A])

  • Performance issues observed on the affected ESXi host and when the VM is moved to other host no performance issues observed
  • Below troubleshooting steps can be followed to isolate the issue :
    • Verify fabric for performance or physical layer issues
    • For fault isolation, move the cable from the host to a different switch port and verify if the error persists
    • Verify environment has been tested through Interoperability Matrix Tool
