Cannot see one of the two cluster switch from "cluster-switch show" command output

Issue

  • Both cluster switch are working normal, but cannot see one from cluster-switch show command output.
  • From the system cluster-switch show command just can see only one switch info

     Example:

        Cluster::> system cluster-switch show -instance

                Device Name: switch(XXXXXXXXXXX)
                 IP Address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
               SNMP Version: SNMPv2c
              Is Discovered: true
           Community String: cshm1!
               Model Number: NX5596
             Switch Network: cluster-network
           Software Version: Cisco Nexus Operating System (NX-OS) Software, Version 7.1(1)N1(1)
  Reason For Not Monitoring:
   Source Of Switch Version: CDP
             Is Monitored ?: true
Serial Number of the Device: Unknown

  • From the cdpd show-neighbors can see both switch info.

     Example:

Cluster::> run -node * cdpd show-neighbors -v

    Remote Device: switch(XXXXXXXXXXX)
       Local Port: e4a
     Capabilities: Switch, IGMP
         Platform: N5K-C5596UP
      Remote Port: Ethernet1/1

  • The following alerts are reported in the event logs:
