Can username contain @ mark in configure authentication to smtp server for ASUP transferring?

Answer

  • No, it cannot.
  • You must choose one user which username and password don't contain @ mark. 
  • There is no workaround from ONTAP side, however it can be considered as a workaround that adds the mail address to the approved sender list of the SMTP server so that authentication can get passed.

Use this parameter to specify up to five SMTP mail hosts through which the node sends AutoSupport messages.

Also, you can optionally prepend a user name and password combination for authentication to each mail server.
