CIFS users are unable to write on unix volume due to incorrect name-service "group" database configuration

Issue

  • CIFS Users are unable to write. Read works without any issues
  • CIFS Users get error "access denied" when attempting to Write.

  • UNIX Mode Bit permission is set to 775 and volume is owned by UID 0 and GID is set to 1011
