Issue

  • Users are unable to access CIFS shares 
  • Windows reports an error:
    \\vserver1\Share1\Folder1 is not accessible. You might not have permissions to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions
  • Errors are seen in EMS log:
    [filer-01: secd: secd.cifsAuth.problem:error]: vserver (vserver1) General CIFS authentication problem.
    Error: User authentication procedure failed (Retries: 2) CIFS SMB2 Share mapping - Client Ip = 10.10.10.105
