Issue

  • CIFS authentication begins to fail, as evidenced by inability to connect an SMB client.
  • EMS logs report:
secd.kerberos.preauth:error]: Kerberos pre-authentication failure due to out-of-sync machine account password for vserver
  • In the Security Daemon (SecD) logs, below errors are being reported:
