Event Summary

This article describes the procedure on how to handle AutoSupport message - CHASSIS POWER SUPPLY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.

This message indicates that one or more of the power supplies on the Controller Chassis is not working correctly.

Validate

Check if the issue is still present or has cleared.

Resolution

Most frequently these alerts are the result of:

  • An issue with the supply of power to the PSU
  • Ongoing maintenance in the Data Center

Verify the following:

  • Is there an ongoing onsite maintenance?
  • Is there a local power outage / issue?
  • Is the electrical power supply is working correctly?

 

  • If the source power is not the issue and the issue is not resolved, a part replacement may be required.
