Applies to

  • ONTAP 9
  • Two-Node Switchless Cluster (TNSC)
  • Intel 10/40 Gigabit Ethernet Controller XL710 QSFP+

Issue

  • When making single cluster port down manually on one node by the following command, the corresponding directly wired cluster port on the other node isn't down automatically.

network port modify -node <node name> -port <one of cluster ports> -up-admin false

  • This will cause vifmgr flapping and hence data LIFs don't function.
