Issue

  • Two cluster or node management LIFs are configured on one node, and when both are enabled, ASUPs fail to send from the node hosting the two LIFs.
  • In multi-node clusters, the issue may look as if ASUPs are being sent from all nodes except one
  • ASUPs tend to fail for whichever node is the home node of the two mgmt LIFs.
  • This sometimes occurs because the node attempts to send ASUPs using the secondary mgmt LIFs route instead of the nodes primary mgmt LIF route.
